The Best way to get started as a freelancer, is the same as the advice we give for getting more work. Fill in your Personal information.  My Account –> Personal Information

           Whilst in the Personal information area: 

1. Make sure your profile has a nice clear smiling picture of you. (A picture paints a thousand words)

Make a description tells the buyers in simple terms what you can do.

Please look at this simple guide on the description you need to provide:

 Make sure your spelling and grammar are correct.

2. Offer a competitive price in the hourly price and for any proposals you make.

3. Choose a maximum of 3 skills on what you do. ( this will also give you a chance of getting onto our home page)

4. Make sure you have subscribed to be emailed when a job matching your skills is posted. (Highly recommended)

     When you have received a job:

 **** Getting and keeping a high rating is extremely important ****

  1.  Do a high quality job. Make sure your standard is kept high.
  2.  Keep in constant contact with your buyer. Every couple of days, send them a quick update note. Buyers hate chasing after freelancers.
  3.  Stick to the time frame as you agreed upon. Buyers hate late arrivals
  4.  Be polite

These are the secrets of getting more work on Hire Geeks. If you stick to these tips, you will get high ratings and thus more jobs. You will also get a lot of repeat business.

And that means more money for you! 

Submitting a proposal:

When you see a job you know that you can do, please tell in easy to understand terms on how you can do it and the experience you have to complete the job.  Also mention the time it would take by you to complete the job.  Make sure your bid amount is competitive.  Obviously, the more bids for different jobs you make, the more chance you will get more work. Choose carefully the jobs you bid for as you have a monthly limit. You can buy bid packs for more bids.
